Cardoncelli Mushrooms in Oil

“Puglia's meaty mushroom, ready in your pantry.”

Cultivated cardoncelli, selected and hand-processed one by one, preserved in extra virgin olive oil.

Cultivated Handmade In extra virgin oil

The cardoncello is the mushroom of Puglia's culinary tradition: a delicate flavour and a meaty texture that holds up even in oil. That makes it a versatile ingredient, able to lift appetisers, side dishes and Mediterranean cooking.

Ours are cultivated cardoncelli, selected and hand-processed one by one, then preserved in extra virgin olive oil. They come to the table ready to use: just open the jar and choose the dish.

The mushroom

The cardoncello: how to recognise it

The cardoncello has a fleshy, dark brown cap and a firm, pale stem. It is one of the most typical mushrooms of Puglia.

The ones in this jar are cultivated: they grow under controlled conditions, which gives consistent quality without depending on foraging in the fields.
