About us

We are a small online shop of typical food from Puglia, based in Cutrofiano, in the heart of Salento. We choose our producers one by one and ship across Italy and abroad.

First a magazine, then a shop

La Terra di Puglia started in 1999 as an online magazine about Puglia: its places, traditions and food. In 2016 the online shop joined the magazine, to bring to our readers’ homes what we had been writing about for years. Since then we have received more than 16,000 orders from over 30 countries.

How we choose our products

We visit every producer in our catalogue in person: we see where they work and we taste their products. We work with small producers, not with large-scale retail. We are a small business, and we want to stay that way.

Some of them are our neighbours: Cutrofiano is one of Puglia’s ceramics towns, and some of the terracotta and wines in our catalogue come from here.

What you’ll find in the shop

Taralli, frise and pasta; preserves, sauces and vegetables in oil; extra virgin olive oil; wines; sweets and jams; cheeses; gift boxes; terracotta and luminarie.

For companies we prepare Christmas hampers and corporate gifts. Restaurants, shops and hotels will find dedicated prices on our wholesale shop.
