Description
Fratelli Colì has been producing terracotta and majolica artisanal products in Cutrofiano (LE) since 1650. The quality of the products that the company continues to offer today is that which has been passed down from father to son through generations: a passion that, remaining unchanged over time, has given life to unique products - both tableware and baking dishes - known and recognizable for their charm of antique flavor, their quality, and their durability. Even today, terracotta is ideal for natural cooking, capable of preserving the original flavors of raw materials, perfect for long and delicate cooking, and for bringing to the table, in addition to much goodness, a beauty that never goes out of fashion.
Certifications
With a view to development and the pursuit of ever-increasing value, the company decides to certify the environmental quality of its activities. The company is committed to its territory, and it does so by obtaining the ISO 14001:2004 certification. The certification of the environmental management system according to the ISO 14001 standard is a voluntary recognition, and aims to provide both the organization and the macroenvironment with the assurance and peace of mind that issues related to pollution, linked to its activities, are under control and that environmental performance is always monitored and compliant with current environmental legislation. The achievement of certification is a sign of trust towards a discerning clientele that views attention to the environment as a distinguishing feature from competitors.
Quality Marks
MAR, HIGH RESISTANCE MAJOLICA
More resistant than twice the normal ceramics, dishwasher safe, non-toxic, and can be used in the microwave. Tests show that even after numerous 16-hour washes at 78°C with aggressive detergents, there was no loss of brightness. In impact resistance tests conducted with a 50g marble, it showed excellent resistance when dropped from the maximum allowed height (90 cm), compared to normal clays that already showed glaze cracks at 50 cm and complete breakage from 65 cm.
