Flat plate glazed in terracotta 24cm with rooster

The glazed terracotta flat plate with rooster belongs to the traditional collection of Apulian rooster plates: a flat plate 24 cm in diameter, the largest in the range. It looks lovely as part of the whole set, together with the soup plates, bowls and glasses with the rooster, but also on its own, as a gift idea. As always, it is made, glazed and decorated by hand.

It is made by Ceramiche Colì in Cutrofiano, in the province of Lecce in Puglia, where handcrafting terracotta and majolica is a tradition dating back to 1650, handed down from father to son for generations: tableware known and recognisable for its old-world charm, its quality and its strength, and a beauty on the table that never goes out of style.

Ceramiche Colì has chosen to certify the environmental quality of its work under the ISO 14001 standard, a voluntary recognition: pollution-related issues are kept under control and environmental performance is monitored, in line with environmental law.

It is also a way of staying bound to its own land, the Salento, where terracotta is still the material of a natural cuisine and of a table whose beauty never goes out of style.
