The selection

Albarossa — the Salento of sun, sea and wind

“Like the colour of my land at sunrise, on days of strong tramontana wind, when the grapes ripen well. The low vines that reach down to the sea have been before my eyes since I was born, they are part of my village — wise, drawn to wine.”

“The Salice Rosso is Negroamaro from espalier-trained vineyards. Deep ruby red, it clings to the glass and never lets go: in the mouth it is dry and intense, just the way we like it.”

“Alba Rossa is Salento at its finest — the Salento of sun, sea and wind. So much wind.”

Ninì Palamà

The producer

Casa Vinicola Palamà — Cutrofiano, since 1936

Casa Vinicola Palamà has been based in Cutrofiano, in the Salento, since 1936. The wines are produced from native Salentine grape varieties — Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera — trained on espalier or bush vines, vinified as single varieties or in blends at the historic winery on Via Armando Diaz.

Ninì and his family personally tend the vineyards, the harvest and the winemaking. A direct, artisan attention to every detail — and you can taste it in the glass.

In 1996 the winery produced its first bottles and immediately found a place in international markets. Since then, the trade press and international wine guides have consistently reviewed Palamà wines with enthusiasm.
