Through a unique agreement with an Altamura kiln we are able to get the original Altamura bread the day after production.
Shipping and availability
Shipping usually takes place on Mondays and in special cases also on Wednesdays. In Italy delivery generally takes place the next day, at the latest after 48 hours. The bread will be sent and stored in a special and unique box.
If your order has other products in it, these together will be shipped based on bread availability, then on Monday. To start orders on Mondays they must be received no later than 16/17 on Sunday.
Even if the bread is light this creates volume so the price of the shipment is made on the volume and not on the weight.
The traditional forms of Altamura bread D.O.P ..
The weight of the loaves varies from 500 g to 2 kg. They present two traditional forms: the first, called "u sckuanète" or "pane alto", is crossed; the second, called in the local dialect "a cappidde de prèvete" ("a priest's hat"), also known as "low bread", is more flattened and less rich in breadcrumbs.
